“FEED YOUR STASH” Friday: FREE bumGenius & Babylegs!

Good morning! I hope your morning didn’t ride up on you as fast as mine did! I hit the ground running this morning to announce last week’s “FEED YOUR STASH” Friday: FREE Gro Baby Diaper! winner.

FEED YOUR STASH Friday: FREE Gro Baby Diaper!

The winner is #34, Jessi who, according to her blog, “Lost her Keys…and moved to Kansas”.

In response to our question, “Do you prefer cotton (organic or not) over synthetic? Why?”, Jessi wrote:

“I use and like both some. I like that cotton lets the baby feel the wetness so that they know that they have gone. We use EC so I want the child to know they have wet themselves. I have used synthetics in the past and like those for long car trips so that the baby doesn’t have to sit in the wetness.”

Jessi won (1) Gro Baby One Size Diaper System (in your choice of color) PLUS (1) one package of Gro baby Snap-In Soaker Refills and ALSO, (1) one package of Gro baby Snap-In Soaker Boosters!

Congratulations Jessi, contact me with your mailing information so I can get these to you ASAP!

TODAY’s “FEED YOUR STASH” FRIDAY GIVEAWAY! is for the GIRLIE GIRLS!

  1. Kathleen says:

My baby was born in winter. So far there has been no bottom flaunting, but in the summer cloth diapers will look cute for the world to see!

  2. Cristina says:

In warmer weather, there is plenty of diaper booty showing. And even when it isn’t warm, I think it’s cute that sometime the top of the diapers stick out the back of his pants. I love when it catches others’ eye too and they ask questions. People are surprisingly receptive to our “newfangled fancy” diapers :)

  3. Piri Jenkins says:

We flaunt them a lot – we love baby legs and diapers with cute prints. When my daughter was younger and chubbier we had no choice – no pants would really fit her, even with disposables.

  4. Rachel says:

When I put my little girl in a dress I don’t see a reason to cover the diaper cover up with bloomers. When it’s nice a warm out I like to let her roam about with her just in her a shirt and diaper.

They make diaper covers in so many cute colors now; I like to coordinate her shirt with her cover. :P

  5. Amy says:

I let my girl decide if she wants to show off her diaper or not. Sometimes she opts for wearing her diaper only. :)

  6. Meg says:

In the summer we’ll flaunt it, but since it’s just getting warmer only the tops of the diaper have peaked out over pants.

  7. Jenny says:

I’m sure we’ll do a little of both. I have 2 boys and we only used disposable, but am pregnant with our 3rd – a girl – and plan to use cloth diapers with her.

  8. Teri says:

my baby was born on NYE, so we haven’t been able to flaunt it yet…but I can’t wait to this summer!

  9. Anitra Smith says:

We don’t do too much flaunting, but only because it’s been cold since the day my daughter came home 7 months ago… When she wears a dress, sometimes we use babylegs instead of tights, and then you can see the diaper.

We do have plenty of pictures of her in just a diaper! I anticipate more diaper-booty showing up as the weather gets warm.

  10. Catia says:

We are BIG flaunters over here! Even though it’s still somewhat cold out (Toronto, Canada), I’ll set up mini photo shoots (…with heaters and all!) and send photos to almost everyone on my e-mails contact list! I want the world to know that cloth diapering is DIFFERENT than it was “in the days when it was HARD to cloth diaper” With the first warm week-end approaching, we might JUST spend some diaper time OUTSIDE!

  11. Morgan says:

We haven’t been flaunters yet, but now that it’s warmer, there is more diaper flaunting! Baby legs help keep knees from getting scraped as we learn to walk.

P.S. I love Feed Your Stash Friday! It’s fun to read all the comments.

  12. Emma says:

We’re doing cloth more for function and cost savings than fashion, so my little one’s dipes are covered up most of the time. And our stash is pretty boring – all BG 3.0s in various colors. Would love to add some more to our stash!

  13. CRYSTAL says:

yup we are flaunters. who needs pants when your at home. and i love to see a hot pink bottom peeking out the back of my dd pants when we’re out and about. i love the questions from interested people. kind of like free advertising for cloth diaper shops.
    go cloth!!

  14. Jessi says:

Thanks so much for hosting the blog give away! I am so excited to try the GroBaby system!

Oh and as far as if my baby flaunts or not. We flaunt for sure. I love my baby to just wear a cloth diaper and baby legs with a long sleeve tee in the winter. Summer it’s just the diaper often and therefore it needs to be beautiful as well as functional. Thankfully these days there are so many options!

  15. Denise says:

My daughter LOVES her colorful diapers. I let her decide which one she wants to wear. She wears a lot of dresses, so it is very common for her to flaunt her diaper. We’ve had a lot of interest from people at church about her diapers.

  16. melanie says:

My baby girl is not due until June and I am planning on cloth diapering. I assume since it will be summer and hot that she will wear those diapers for the whole world to see!

  17. Stacey says:

We just had our baby in February so since it’s been cold, her diapers have been pretty well covered. But I’m excited to show them off this summerand tell everyone all about them! I’m genuinely surprised how much I’m liking the cloth diapers. Now if I can only figure out how to get her to not poop all over the covers…

  18. Kathy says:

I flaunt as much as possible. I try to match her diaper covers (that’s what we use) to whatever outfit my daughter is wearing. Sometimes she wears onesies, so you can’t see the cover as much, but some still peeks out. I am all about letting people know I use cloth, and why it isn’t any harder than disposables. I totally flaunt them!

  19. Jill says:

We recently had her baptised, and just took her up in a dress and BG! Forget socks, shoes, tights, let alone pants! She was extremely comfy and my husband proudly mentioned her diaper two or three times. She is about to change sizes again and this summer I hope to have her running around (okay so far she’s just rolling!) in just a tshirt and diapers!I dont have enough pants for her to wear them every day, so I substitute babylegs for the days when pants are all in the wash!

  20. Sarah Jo says:

We keep them tucked away because we’re on the go. Although with 80 degree days ahead, we’ll be going pant-less soon!

  21. Carrie says:

Since our baby will be born just in time for summer, I’m sure there will be lots of adorable cloth diaper flaunting! ;-)

  22. We do lots of flaunting at home and with relatives. My daughter is constantly in nothing but a diaper and a t-shirt. But when we go out we do tend to put pants on her. :)

  23. Gina says:

We don’t flaunt because my DD is 2 1/2 and I just feel like she needs pants or something on most of the time and my DS is 15 months and scratches the tar out of his legs if he doesn’t have something covering them!!! lol…*shakes head*

  24. Rachel says:

We FLAUNT. DD is extremely sensitive to elastic, so bloomers are out. And DS thinks that when his pants are off it’s time to run, so he runs without pants quite often.

  25. Maggie says:

Today is our first nice day. Up until today my daughter (who is one month old today) was covered in too many blankets to see what she was wearing at all when we went out. I can’t wait to start showing off her adorable diapers. I think a diaper and baby legs is so cute!

  26. Linda says:

My baby isn’t born yet, but I’m predicting a combo of both. The bloomers are so adorable, but I think sometimes, I’ll just let her bum genius breathe.

  27. Stephanie G. says:

I’m not a flaunter. Generally I use AIOs or fitteds/covers so they aren’t really show offy diapers anyway. Around the house we hang in just diapers. I show them off in the bathrooms if someone sees me changing one! Anyway, thanks for another great giveaway!

  28. Heather says:

Flaunt! I show off all the cool new cloth diapers I have!

  29. By the time we started using cloth diapers, it was getting cold out, so my daughter’s cloth diapers were always covered up. I can’t wait to show them off this summer though, especially the cute handmade crocheted covers my aunt is making her!

  30. Jamie Dafoe says:

I am new to the wonderful wide world of cloth diapering> I worked full time for my first baby and couldnt find a babysitter that would do cloth. I bought him a couple for weekends and people would tell me to cover him up! BUt I love baby legs and cute diapers (my husband loves the Cleveland Brown so I coordinated with orange and orange and brown striped babylegs to get him to buy off on teh cuteness factor! Now, (after both of us being laid off!) we are heading to Alaska , a new job (me staying home yeh!) and preggo with a little girl and I cant wait to go “total cd” with her (My husband thinks she will freeze because I will want to show off and that we will go broke keeping her dressed cute)

  31. Jen D. says:

I live in the Seattle area and have only been cloth diapering for the past four months. I guess when it warms up I will let my kids wear them without anything else, but for now they are hidden under their clothes. They are so cute in the cloth diapers though…it is tempting to let them flaunt it in the cold of winter, but I have not yet. :)

  32. Jessica says:

I have a baby boy, but I believe that Real Men Wear Pink, so why not enter this weeks contest. I love to flaunt his cloth diapers, they are much nicer when they stick out the onesie with fun colors. We like many Moms are looking forward to summer when baby will show off his styling diaper more then in winter when covered up.

  33. Rachel H says:

Well, I hope this doesn’t disqualify me since I don’t have a girl, lol, but if we did I would probably do some tucking and some flaunting :-). If I win I will most likely give these to a friend who has a one-week old little girl!

  34. Talina says:

My first, a baby girl is due this june. I’ve already bought one BumGenius 3.0 for her and totally plan to flaunt her in just the diaper.

They are darn cute so why not? I would love it if they would make some with frills on the butt ;-P

  35. melanie lloyd says:

flaunt it. The big ol’ cloth diaper booties are so cute!

  36. I flaunt! Love to show off the cloth. :)

  37. Cinthia says:

My little girl was born in the Winter (February) and we haven’t been able to flaunt it outside. Inside, she’s always flaunting her cloth. Can’t wait for the Summer. Today, it’s going to be 80 degrees out so you bet she’s going to be showing off.

  38. Courtenay says:

We do a mix. When in public, we are usually dressed and our fluffy bum is covered. However, when hanging around the neighborhood with the playgroups and pool time we usually flaunt our cute bum with a matching tank top.

  39. A.K. says:

summer babies- definitely flaunt- there is nothing cuter than a diapered baby with nothing else on walking around in the summer!

  40. jenny says:

i love showing off her cute diapers! plus pants look funny with cloth bc of the bulk.

  41. Zoe says:

Our daughter was born in December so we have not been able to show her off in only her cloth diaper. I am looking forward to it, we are proud that we cloth diaper!

  42. Kari says:

We have mostly covered since we live in an arctic state :) With summer around the corner we will be letting our little guy run around with diaper exposed soon! Whenever someone sees us changing him we always get something like “now what are you using?” It’s fun to explain all the new options in cloth diapering!

  43. Erica says:

Currently expecting a late fall/early winter babe and plan on using cloth. With all the great colors and prints out there flaunting definetly sounds like the way to go. Babylegs will be great for cold weather flaunting.
    **fingers crossed**

  44. VeggieMomma says:

It depends on the diaper. If I’m using JamTots or another minky diaper, I’ll definitely have the baby legs on only, but if it’s a plain diaper, I’ll have pants. I do like to show of the cloth diapers though so people will ask about it and I can share with them how great it is (people usually think it hard and gross).

  45. Jennifer Sierra says:

Well, we have a boy, but are hoping for a girl soon so I hope this entry counts! Our boy flaunts at home, but not out and about. We’re new to cloth diapering and so I haven’t tried taking him out in them yet. He usually wears overalls at home, but now that it’s getting warmer he wears just his dipe and a t-shirt around the house.

  46. Kelly says:

We flaunt big time – if she’s wearing a dress, I try to only put on matching diapers when we’re in public – they just look so cute!

  47. Patti says:

It depends on the weather. Cold were covered, warm/hot we let the fluff fly :)

  48. Jennie Ackerman says:

It depends on the weather, but I love to flaunt the diapers when it is nice! We live in Michigan, so we only get 4 or 5 good flaunting months a year. I love when people ask me about the diapers and I can educate them a little bit about how far cloth has come. Plus, we have lots of cute fitteds and I love showing them off. :-)

  49. Yvette says:

Oh, yes…..we flaunt it! I love cute cloth diapers. Even the simplest CD is a million time cuter than yucky paper chemical filled ‘diapers’!

  50. I usually flaunt, unless of course the outfit has a really cute pair of bloomers. But 9 times out of 10, the cloth diaper (pocket or prefold with cover) is usually cuter. Plus when people see them they usually have a ton of questions as to, “What kind of diaper is that?” So then I get t brag on my daughter’s diapers and it becomes an evangelism opportunity!

  51. Katy haderthauer says:

We flaunt our use of cloth. We live in Texas so it has been warmer here for awhile and our baby girl runs hot so she is often only in a diaper. I love telling people about using cloth diapers and how much I like them, so I also love showing them off!!

  52. Shannon says:

We love to show off our cloth diapers, they are so cute!

  53. Angela says:

It’s been a while since I CD’d my now 7yr old daughter but I used to love showing off her cute covers in the summer with her dresses. Now that we are expecting another girl(due Friday as a matter of fact), I’m looking forward to getting together some cute dipes to wear. There are so many more options now, it’s mindboggling.

  54. When we have a girl we will definately flaunt!!! I make a point to always use cloth when out and about and promote cloth as much as possibly possible! The world would be a whole lot better off, and so would our babies, and so would our pocketbooks if we all forsook the terrible disposable diaper and returned to cloth!!!

  55. Joanna Oglesby says:

My little girl wears hers most days hangin’ out. The fab colors of the Thirsty’s Fab fitted and Thirsty’s covers go with most of her outfits. And if not who cares… It’s 80 degrees here and she is sporting some very cute sundresses. (they dont make the “diaper covers” that come with the dresses to fit over cloth- thats ok our cloth diapers are cute) The wonderful colors spark up conversations where ever we go. I like to talk, esp about cloth diapers.

  56. CariC says:

I have a beautiful DS that is 4 months old. We have just hit our first heat wave here in Maryland so I am SO excited to show off his cute fluffy bum!!! I even just ordered the cutest Ooga Booga tshirt and summer shoes that I plan to put him in as often as possible this summer to show off his cute BG’s & GB’s!!! Yes, I will actually put my son in Zinnia if I win – I just won’t tell my DH!!!

  57. Michele Judd says:

We have not yet flaunted – our two year old is potty training and we are planning on using cloth diapers for our new baby that will be here this fall. (Hopefully it is ok that I still entered!)

  58. Heidi says:

We flaunt as often as possible!! I have SO many adorable photo’s of my boys in cloth and I can’t wait to do the same with the girls!!!

  59. Larissa Thompson says:

Pick me! We love to flaunt them when we can. Living in Alaska, it is a bit cold at times, but we love to pair her diapers with wool Baby Legs. I love when people see them and ask about them. We are expecting #2 in 8 weeks so could use some more diapers(and these are the ones we use, though I don’t have this cool new color!)We are headed to my baby shower at work tomorrow and I’m putting my daughter in a cute dress, just to show off those cloth diapers (and hopefully win a few converts!) Thanks!

  60. Leah says:

My 27 month old doesn’t flaunt her bumGenius too much, but people do notice the top sticking out of her pants and ask me about them. I love to share my passion for cloth diapering and BG in particular.

  61. Leanna says:

My baby is due in Oct. so while its cold we will not flunt but I can see it happing in the spring and summer.

  62. Kelley says:

I don’t cuttently have a baby (my dd is 9) but we are trying to get pregnant. We’re going to cloth diaper the new baby and since I love the cloth diaper look, I’m sure that we will “flaunt”.

  63. Cari C says:

My DD is 5 and PT’d long ago…however my DS is only 4 months old and although he is a boy I will most certainly flaunt his cloth bum this summer! I even bought an adorable matching Ooga Booga shirt and summer slippers. As soon as it arrives I will be purchasing a diaper that matches. :)
