I use a wonky homemade swim diaper. It is too poofy in the bottom – I’d love to have a SWIMMI.
I look for ABILTY TO CONTAIN SOLIDS!
I use a LiteWrap cover as my swim dipe… because my other covers (Bummis SuperSnap) don’t have gussets – and I think those are important for keeping messes IN.
I use the Huggies disposables (and I hang them to dry & re-use them again – so a 12 pack lasts me the whole summer or longer. But I know ultimately they are disposable – so I’d love to have a proper Swimmi!
Obviously – containing poop is the biggest concern!
I don’t have any yet! I don’t even know where to start for swim diapers. I will be looking for quality construction, a fun pattern and probably something that can transition for awhile since they won’t be used everyday.

We used Imse Vimse ones for my daughter. It had a great fit and looked very cute, she never tested it’s full ability but I think it would of held everything in.
I am thinking on trying just a diaper cover for my son when he is born until he grows into my daughter’s old one.

I use a Bummi and then another hand-me-down that I’m not sure of the brand. The key for me is poo containment. I don’t want to end up as THAT mom at the pool!
I’ll just use a grobaby shell done up tightly. Would live a Swimmi in Pizzazz though!

Last summer we used a cloth swim diaper that I bought at Babies R Us (I don’t remember the brand). It worked well, but the sizes ran very small and my son outgrew the largest size by the end of summer. I’d like to find a brand that has a wider range of sizes or better yet, that fits across multiple sizes.

i dont know what the brand is. but i look for them to be tight around the legs in case of poop (i dont want to be the one that closes the pool) and for them to be more then just one piece of pul (i bought one and that was all it was and i will not use it)

I’m so excited to take my first LO swimming year-round at the local pool! I grew up swimming all the time with my mom (who is an aquatic director at a YMCA) and it’s one of the things I’m most looking forward to! I really want to get a Bummis Swimmi diaper (hubby likes the Clownfish pattern!) because I keep reading everywhere that they are the best! In a swim diaper, I would expect something that holds everything in VERY well, and something that is easy to use for parents but not easy to unfasten for a growing baby! I’d like a diaper that withstands frequent use until baby outgrows the size. And cute patterns are always a plus! :o)

I don’t have a new swim diaper for this summer yet. My son is using the one I bought him last summer, but it’s too small. It is a reusable swim diaper I bought at Babies’r'us. For my son I got some sort of swim diaper from One Step Ahead. I think it’s just their brand of diaper. And for my daughter we use some swimsuit with a built in swim diaper, that we got from her grandparents. I don’t know what I look for in a diaper because I’ve never looked for one. I use Imse Vimse and love it. It’s an adorable pink pattern (much cuter than disposable swim diapers).

we use the bummis swim diapers… we love them. they are easy to put on… and they hold in solids – exactly what they need to do (that’s what we look for, products that WORK)… and they don’t hold extra water, and aren’t bulky…
and the prints are super cute!

I use the Imse Vimse swim diaper. I have a medium and a large. I used them on my first baby and saved them for the second. Baby #2 was just using them last week in our kiddy pool. I like them but haven’t used any others to compare them to. The only problem is that they have one snap so when poop happens it can be difficult to make a clean diaper getaway.

I have a ridiculously old swim diaper that I got used from a friend…no idea of the brand.
I would look for ease of use (I think I would prefer a snap, not just a pull up), trim fit and cute pattern or color.
What Swim Diapers do you use? What do you specifically look for in a swim diaper?
We haven’t tried swim diapers yet! I would love to find one that is cute, lightweight, and holds in the mess well!

I would love to try a swim diaper! Right now, we are just using a bumgenius 3.0 with no soaker. Thankfully, we have yet to test how well it will keep in poop.
I used what my son’s swim teacher sold. I don’t know what it was. He was already almost fully potty trained at that time, so don’t know how well it really would have worked. I guess the most important thing is a snug fit.

I thing we just bought some Huggies swim diapers from Target for the first swims, but we’re looking for a better option. And then we have a cute bathing suit swim cover we got at Sears.

Uck, mostly I use disposable swim diapers. If we are at the lake, I usually don’t put one on her. I have used an empty pocket diaper before,
I use a Fuzzibunz with no insert as my swim diaper. It’s easily accessible because I have so many of them and I don’t have to worry about having any disposable swim dipes on hand. I look for fit and comfort in my swim diapers and FB seems to give me both!

I use little swimmers. The smallest size doesn’t even fit my little one. So, to me I would look for something that actually fit him and wasn’t too bulky.
We use an unstuffed Rumparoo as a swim diaper. It works great and is adorable!
Just placed my first order 30768 through Diaper Junction. I live in Alaska and it’s always tough to find sites that will ship at a reasonable cost and speed (I’ve never understood this because it doesn’t cost any more through USPS to ship to us), but Diaper Junction did it. In fact, Amazon.com and Ebay.com did not have the Diaper Rite brand prefolds, which I wanted so badly to order. Thank you, Diaper Junction!
Most of the time my wee one’s go naked. Other times we use regular diapers, so it’d be nice to have an official swim diaper

We are just starting with cloth diapering, so I have only used the disposable swim diapers and really wonder why I waste my money every time we use one.
I use huggies swimmers and would really like to not have to waste the money on those anymore. I had bought a cloth swimmer for my daughter when she was an infant but somehow it has come up missing in the last 2 years. I look for a diaper that is not going to make my son break out, or that keeps the wetness away from him.

I use a reusable iPlay swim diaper or sometimes I just use a bumGenius or Fuzzi Bunz if it’s not going into chlorinated water. All work great!
I use sposie ones right now. I would love to have a reusable swim diaper though. I would look for quality construction, something that works well, and something unique.

We use a thirsties duo wrap as a swim diaper. It works great! I keep meaning to get an actual swim diaper, but haven’t done it yet!
My daughter is only 29 days old and we haven’t had our first swim outing, yet. Our first one will be just to our backyard in a little kiddie pool. In that set-up it’s okay for her to swim au naturel! But, for when we go to a more public locale, I am looking for a swim diaper that boasts a trim and comfortable fit and will be able to contain her BF poop! And, just like any bathing suit I would want to wear, it has to be cute! :)

Initially, I was going to buy a swim diaper, but I decided just to use one of my older Fuzzi Bunz without the inserts. It worked.
