Right now we are using stay dry inserts with our Flips. The main reason: they’re less expensive.
Wow. You always ask questions a mother-to-be with a baby that is still consuming her own waste in utero cannot possibly answer. I have both cloth and stay dry inserts and haven’t had a chance to use either. Everything I’ve read says the stay dry inserts work wonderfully. I guess we’ll see. I need more Flips!
I dont have the experience with either to really say but i would love to try both and then decide~!

I would choose and have chosen organic… it’s not that I feel I NEED to get organic but I HATE the microfiber inserts, they are sooooo hard to get that smell out of them. I’ve tried and it just isn;t feasible for me to wash and rinse 5 or 6 times after each washing so I don’t get a nasty smell! I get the organic or really anything that is NOT microfiber instead. I only need to rinse them once or twice every couple of weeks and they are perfect and no stinkies.

I would definitely pick the organic insert. I try to use as many natural fabrics as I can on my baby’s bottom. We use the organic bum genius AIOs, the organic Dream-Eze AIOs, and some others. I am lucky to have a non-heavy wetter and can get away with not needing the extra absorbency of the microfiber.

i use staydry but would LOVE to try organic!
I would choose the organic, since I tried the stay-dry already and it didn’t work for us. I’ve heard good things about the organics though, and I LOVE flips covers!

I personally prefer to mix the two. My daughter has very sensitive skin, so the mix does her well. However, having to choose I would say Stay Dry. She can typically keep a stay dry on with less redness than an organic cotton insert.

Not sure…..I’m trying to help out my daughter by posting. When I did cloth diapers, you used diaper pins and dunked in the toilet. :)

I have both in my stash and honestly don’t know which I like best. If it is a hot day.. i would go with organic natural fibers. Over night though I do add a thin, stay dry liner to my fitted. I love them both!
I guess my official answer is organic cotton. :)

I don’t know! First time mom, still learning about CD process and products. :) Organic sounds good, considering our family’s sensitive skin tendencies.

I like the stay dry insert. It seems more comfortable for the baby and is a softer feel.

Answer to question in green:
I would always pick the organic first, but price does play a part, and so far I’ve loved the one Stay Dry insert I own.
