When I purchase CD I first look for it to be something convenient for me to use – having to “figure it out” every time I put it on is not going to work for me. But now that I’m more comfortable with CD-ing, I also look for fun/fashion/styles – cool patterns that make CD not only a great/healthy option but also a fun experience for me and my bambino! :)

when I selected my diapers I was looking for simplicity, versatility of absorption (nighttime/daytime options) aslo wanted some OS diapers that truly fit toddlers and infants at the same time so that some of the diapers could be shared between my two kids (some OS diapers are to short in the rise to fit my big kido). I was also looking at the price lol.

I look for use (as in how long can I use it/will I be able to re-use it), features that make it easy to clean, care for, or put on, and after some experience, features that make it hard for a baby–make that, toddler to take off. One really unique one is an Otter Blotters AI2. It can be used as a pocket or an AI2(change out inserts), and it fastens with velcro to get good adjustment, but it also has snaps that cover the velcro, so ‘baby’ can’t get it off. It also has an insert that turns itself inside out in the wash so it has a shorter dry time.

  423. I look for longevity, functionality, and user-friendliness. I initially also considered cost because my husband is a miser, but after he kept complaining and refusing to change the Thirsties, we went with BumGenius and GroBaby and we’re totally happy with our decision, despite the higher cost. I *like* the prettier covers of the GroBaby, but I figured they’re going to be covered by clothes and even a solid color is cuter than most any disposable, so I kind of gave up one cute diapers.

I look for how easy it is to change the baby’s diaper. My wife asks me about all of our diapers and tries to include me when she is buying them. My favorite is our Grobaby diapers because the snap in liners are so convenient. Our little girl is very wiggly so these diapers are a breeze. So I guess my answer would be convenience.

When selecting a brand, I look for fit and sizing. My baby is slender and tiny, and many of the popular brands (like BG) just don’t fit her very well. It was also frustrating to try OS diapers that fit babies “from 10lbs+” and they didn’t fit MY baby until she was over 15 lbs (and several months old).
