    i use a wet bag.
i like it because it is quite roomy but the only down side is that most times i forget i have a dirty dipe in the car that needs to go to the dirty pile. it is my fault. not the product’s. :/

I use one of my wetbags. I have a large one for long trips of all day, medium one if it’s a shorter day trip, and a small one to carry wipes. I wish they’d come out with the wet/dry bags sooner, as they’d have been perfect instead of my large bag for trips.

we have a WAHMIES pail liner in a cheapo diaper pail at home, and we have a few different wetbags for when we’re out of the house. i like our setup and have no complaints. for the first year of cloth diapering, though, we used plastic grocery bags while out of the house and lined the pail with an old pillowcase. it worked but it was a little messier and stinkier. :P

I use a couple of jamtots wetbags for out and about, and a dry pail method (with a wahmmies pail liner) at home. Love both of these products- they are very functional and durable (washed and dried many, many times). The only problem is me forgetting to take the wetbags out of the diaper bag or forgetting to bring them with me.

  49. Tarah says:

I just bought my first wet bags for use with potty training toddler and for baby due in July. I have used the disposable diaper baggies in the past but am trying hard to change to be more green. I got a small wet bag for the diaper bag and a large with the strap to hook on the railing in my family room where I know I will do a lot of the baby diaper changes. We currently use a large wet bag in a garbage bin for at home and have a few medium ones for when we are out of the house. It is much better than using grocery bags like we did when we started cloth diapering. At home I use a cheap $1 store wet laundry storage bag. It works extremely well for the price, but you get what you pay for. After only a week, my son poked a hole in it just my walking over it!! Oh, well. When on the go, I usually keep cloth diapers in a ziplock freezer bag because, again, it is cheap and also reusable. What I don’t like about the ziplock is that recently I accidently left a cloth diaper in one for a few days and somehow it already mildewed!! Yuck! I have to wash the diapers very fast for both methods to contain the smell, which I don’t like!

I have four small wet bags from the Natural Baby Company (they make the GroBaby diaper). I use one of these smaller ones when I am out and then for the babysitter that my little one goes to three days a week (yes my babysitter is awesome and my daughter wears cloth diapers all the time). At home I have two different brand, large wet bag pail liners. One is the larger size of the small ones that I have and the other is one that I purchased used and don’t know the name of it. They both work well. Wet bags/ pail liners are awesome.

I haven’t purchased one yet but I’m thinking wet bag when out and about. I know some use large plastic Ziploc-style bags but I think that would get sweaty sitting in a hot car and then smelly – yuck. I like the convenience of dropping the whole thing into the laundry – bag and dipe all in one step.

  315. Aja Reeser says:

I use 2 wet bags for at home, one for the pail (a lidded garbage can) and one in the wash. I also have a small zippered wet bag to use on the go, which fits into my diaper bag easily and will hold four or five prefolds. I LOVE my wetbags. It makes laundry super easy as all I have to do is grab the whole bag and turn the diapers out into the wash, throwing in bag and all. I never have to touch soiled diapers. They work great and I highly recommend. Just don’t put them through the dryer, as the PUL has a tendency to melt. Oops.

Wet bags. I can’t imagine doing cloth diapering without them.
For home I rotate two Bummis drawstring wetbags and just leave it on the floor next to the changing table as my son is only 3mos. Throw it in the was with the diapers and line dry.

For out and about I use a Fuzzibunz wetbag that can hold 4 diapers easily. It is sooo much better than a plastic bag -no stress about leaks OR odor and I even throw wet bibs and clothes in there to keep them separate from the clean stuff.

For daycare I use the Planet Wise wet/dry bag to tote both clean and dirties daily. It was much easier to convince them to do cloth diapers this way. (I use FB.)

  419. Amy Watts says:

I actually use a medium Planet Wetbag when we are out and about and I love it. We have a few wet bags around the house as well to conveniently deposit dirty diapers. Would love extra wetbags, especially one for wipes, as they do really make cding easier.

The baby won’t arrive till July, but my plan is to use a small wet bag out and about, and a large wet bag as a diaper pail liner. We’ll see!

Currently have a small wetbag with a drawstring closure in the kids’ diaper bag. Works great! Doesn’t take up too much space, doesn’t smell, easy to wash
