  1. Now that she is over 12lbs, we are loving our BG 3.0 pockets! It took my husband a few tries to figure out the snap-down (is it really that hard??) but now he is loving them too.

  2. I love BG 3.0!! They are so easy to use. I ordered a few Fuzzibunz a couple of weeks ago and really like them too.

  3. I love my BG 3.0, but I also love snaps! So I had someone convert all of my aplix 3.0s to snaps. Now they are just about the perfect diaper!

  4. Most of our stash is BG 3.0. At 26.5 lbs, we still have our son on the middle setting. My husband prefers them because they are easy to use with the Aplix. I prefer the Smartipants because they are snap closure and I don’t have to pull out the insert before washing.

  5. I haven’t used any one size diapers yet, but I’m anxious to try them.

  6. I reviewed the Fuzzi Bunz one-size diaper.

  7. With my first I used one-size pockets only at night, naps, and long car rides (prefolds and covers all other times), and they worked great. I’ll likely try the same with #2 whose on the way!

    Comment # 7 | Posted by Alissa | October 23, 2009, 10:41 am
  8. We use a few Mommy’s touch pocket one size diapers. To be honest, it’s what I grab when the stash is empty. They work okay, but I find they leak a bit more that just a prefold and cover. And they seem a little bulky. It’s not as big of a deal now that she is 8 months old and 20 pounds, but when she was younger, she had a harder time dealing with the bulk. Maybe if the inserts were less bulky I would like them better. I do love the one-size covers I have though. Those are great.

  11. I haven’t been able to try them yet, just starting to do research for cloth diapering for the baby soon to come.
They look like a promising option from what I’ve seen. I can’t wait to try to try them!

  12. The one-size pockets we’ve tried (BG, FuzziBunz, Haute Pockets, Blueberrys) do work very well for us…after we get to about 3 months. I felt like before that point they were just too bulky–I didn’t like how huge they made my tiny little girl look.

    Comment # 12 | Posted by Stephanie | October 23, 2009, 10:48 am
  13. Our son is 22 lbs. now, and we love BumGenius One-size pocket diapers. We used pre-folds before, and I was thinking about stopping to cloth diaper once he began to eat solid foods. But the BumGenius 3.0 make even the messiest diapers less gross to clean - we just use a diaper sprayer and we’ve never had any problems with staining or leaking. They’re really, really great cloth diapers - and worth the money.

  14. We use the OS Fuzzi Bunz and the OS Smarti Pants. We LOVE both! I esp love the Smarti Pants b/c you don’t have to remove the liners, they come out in the wash. The inside liners are not made of fleece and do not pil. I love both products and they make cloth diapering a “snap.”

  15. I only have one one-size pocket diaper (a bum genius) and have only used it with my toddler. She was 14 months old when I started cloth diapering, but I have tried it on the 2 month old once and I think that they would be really great.

    Comment # 15 | Posted by Stephenie | October 23, 2009, 10:57 am
  16. No…the few I have used leaked so we have been using pre-folds and thirsties covers.

  17. We love the bum genius one-size pocket diapers diapers!! We have used them since the beginning and now my chubby 28 lb, 16 month girl is still wearing them and they work great!! we are expecting our 3rd and the only thing that I am going to do different is buy the new organic ones with the snaps. The velcro tends to not stick as well once she got to be around 14 months. They are soooo worth the money!!

    Comment # 17 | Posted by Liza Graham | October 23, 2009, 10:59 am
  18. I’ve been curious about how adjustable they are–I’ve had trouble with other diapers with snaps to get just the right fit.

  19. Love the fuzzi bunz o/s diapers- not so fond of the bum genius o/s would rather use s, m, l

  20. I use the one-size diapers for our overnight diaper and they work great. I have trouble with the prefolds and covers staying dry on my little one at night. I think they work great!

    Comment # 20 | Posted by Sue S. | October 23, 2009, 11:03 am
  21. Bumgenius3.0 is pretty close to perfect but hate the velcro. Next time i’ll pay extra for the organic with snaps.

  22. I’m happy with the OS diapers I have right now, but am worried that my little boy will grow out of them before he’s potty trained, and then I’ll have to buy new diapers for the interim.

  26. Yes - we really like the bum genius one size. They’re so absorbant and have never had a leak–not to mention that we don’t have to keep buying different sizes as she grows. I know that’s what helping her sleep through the night!

  27. We exclusively use OS pockets on our babies, we love that we don’t have to keep switching out diapers as they grow!

  28. We love the FuzziBunz OS. We also have a lot of Happy Heiny OS that we use successfully, they’re just not as customizable as the Fuzzis.

I also have BG’s and a HH but I haven’t tried them yet.

  31. I like OS pockets once my babies are about 15 pounds or so. Before that they are too bulky

  32. We use Haute one size pocket diapers and love them. I’m thinking about expanding my stash to include the Fuzzi Bunz one size or other one size diaper. When we have our tiny babies though we do lik to use the perfect size fuzzi bunz!

    Comment # 32 | Posted by Lynette Miller | October 23, 2009, 11:19 am
  33. I really like my One Size Bum Genius and my newly acquired One Size Fuzzi Bunz. I purchased the Bum Genius when he was 2 months old, and he is now 14 months old, and they have fit well throughout the past year. Only thing I wasn’t too crazy about was the velcro going bad, but I recently sent them in for warranty repairs and got new replacements. Fuzzi Bunz seem really nice too, with the adjustable elastic, and since they are snaps, I won’t have the same velcro issue.

    Comment # 33 | Posted by Julie Wu | October 23, 2009, 11:19 am
  34. Our stash is almost ALL OS diapers, with some medium Fuzzi Bunz thrown in. I think they’re OS anyway- they’ve fit from 5 mos to now (14 mos) and still room to go! We love OS diapers!

  36. I’ve used Rita’s Rump Pockets on my nephew from 9-10 months, but moved soon thereafter. So, they fit great at that age and should fold down for younger babies.

  40. I haven’t tried the one size pocket diapers - we use prefolds. My boy is very trim and so I would need one that fit well in order for it to stay up! But on the otherhand it would probably fit him for a long time!

  45. One-size pocket diapers are our favorite! We’ve been using BG 3.0 since our daughter was 2 weeks old and they have been awesome all along the way. Super easy for babysitters too!

  46. My baby won’t make an appearance until February, but when he does we are hoping to find and pocket that we like (after we do prefolds and covers for awhile). I’ve registered for 2 each of four different brands in the hopes that one of them is perfect for us and we can stock up!

  49. BGOS make up the bulk of our diaper stash actually! I started CDing DD1 at 1 year and she’s just recently moved into panties/pull-ups for potty learning. She’s doing great with it and we’re hoping that she’ll be in panties full-time very soon ^_^ I tried Haute Pockets, BGOS, and a few OS fitteds and the BGOS were my faves! I plan on using them again with the new baby that we’re currently waiting on. She’s due next week! Once she’s about 10-12 lbs. they’ll make up the majority of her stash as well.

  50. Haven’t used any yet. The only one-size I used are the Wonder Wraps. They are working better lately, now that my boy is bigger (4.5 months). I’d like to try some.

  64. I only ended up with one all size pocket diaper, and really haven’t tried it much. I liked other pocket diapers that we used, but she outgrew them, and then I descovered GroBaby’s, I love them so I haven’t tried much of anything else.

  71. I love the Fuzzi Bunz size mediums (which have so many snaps they are more like one-size diapers). I’m not as big a fan of the Bum Geniuses as a lot of other commenters are because the velcro tends to wear out after a year or so.

  76. I love, love, love OS pockets for our newest addition. We’ve been cd’ing for two years now, and I’ve never been happier than when we use the pockets. I originally hated pockets due to the stuffing and leaks. It felt like that was all I was doing, was stuffing and washing tons of clothes due to them getting wet every hour. That was when ds was younger. We now have a 3 month old and the only thing I enjoy putting on her are pockets. I just stuff with an extra bamboo doubler. They are trim and I don’t mind stuffing anymore. That says alot seeing as my hubby is deployed and I’m doing all of the laundry and stuffing!

  81. I love the BG OS pockets that I have used (1.0, 2.0 and 3.0). I am not sure they will fit my son through potty training since my older son grew out of his by about 20 mos. The HH OS are a little too bulky now, but I think they will fit my son longer. I have not tried FB OS, but would like to.

  85. I really love my one size Bumgenius. I started with a 3 pack and now have 9. I live in a very small town and we have a nearby store that has them in stock, but I am very interested in trying the smartipants for the price. I have been able to diaper a 2 1/2 year old right along my now 1 year old in the same diaper. Super absorbant and soft. Love, love, love cloth diapers. I’m sad that this is my last child because they are always coming out with such neat diapers.

  86. we love our bum genius one size pockets, at almost one year! she’s already unsnapped, but with their newest versions, they show NOT to dry the covers, and I think that helps the shrinkage a lot. We recently started double stuffing for overnight, but it may not be necessary, I think she was just ready for the next snap up and they ‘rolled’. It does help her stay drive for 12 hours though! I agree with one of the PP that a good deal on a one size is hard to resist.

  87. I have used 2 Mommy’s Touch pockets as night diapers nearly every night for the past two years (and for 2 different kids), and while they definitely don’t still look like new, they’ve held up VERY well. I’ll mourn the day they fall apart… (which I don’t expect any time soon!)

  89. all we use are one-size diapers. they have been great! so much more cost effective than having to buy in bigger sizes every so often.

  90. Yes, one size diapers are working great for my daughter. She’s about 20 pounds and not on the skinny side, and I still haven’t adjusted either my bumGenius or my Smartipants past the smallest setting. They are working great for her. We also use Wonder Wraps, which are also one size covers, and those we are having to adjust up, but they continue to work almost magically for us!

  98. One size works so well with my babies! They really save money for us while allowing us to do something for the environment and they fit so well for so long!

  99. I started cloth-diapering my son when he was a year old. I bought some bumGenius one-size diapers and used those with him for over a year before he got too tall in the rise for them. I am now using them with my 8-month-old daughter (she moved the highest rise by 6 months old!). So, yes, I do like pocket-diapers, but in the end, prefolds and covers are my favorite. My husband, on the other hand, always puts the baby in a bG when he changes her. :-)

  101. BG 2.0 were great for my dd, but my new little guy (3 months) just wets right out of them. I had the elastic in the legs replaced for him, but it doesn’t seem to matter. I’ve ended up going with fitteds to contain the leaks, but I like the idea of the OS pocket - so I’m willing to try other brands.

  102. DD#2 is only 10 wks(& 10 lbs) and even though I feel like they are still a little bulky at this point so far BG 3.0 OS work pretty good. I haven’t used the Mommy’s touch yet, that I have left over from DD#1.

  106. OS dipes work alright — my babies start out big and end up average, so the diapers fit through almost the whole diapering time, but the fit is generally not quite as good as a sized diaper.

  120. We’ve done okay with the one-size diapers most of the time with our little guy. They did not fit well (in the brands we tried) at the newborn stage. We’ll see how they do as he gets bigger, but are so far working up to 26lbs (we are on the largest setting now).

  128. I just recently started trying out pockets for my 5 week old baby for night time. I bought one of four different pockets to try and i like each one for different reasons. I like the smartipants because they seem the most absorbent, Blueberry Bamboo-Velour because its very soft, rockymountains because they’re the trimmest, and econappi because its organic and I think the insert is pretty absorbent too. I look forwaed to trying fuzzibunz soon. Overall, OS pockets do work for me and I don’t mind the bulk much.

  133. We have been cloth diapering for 3 weeks now (woo hoo!) I like my BG 3.0. I use them on my 7 lb newborn and they do look big but they don’t leak so far. The Gro Baby one size is still waaaay too big though. Thirsties extra small AIO are a perfect fit. I LOVE the Fuzzi Bunz size small, they’re still a little big but I like not having to worry about velcro and laundry tabs.

  140. We love using the Bum Genius 3.0 one size diapers. We have been using the same batch of diapers for 22 months. They are starting to get worn though. Over time the laundry tabs wear out and the velcro sticks to everything in the wash! I am going to tyr some Smartipants diapers tomorrow and give them a try. No Velcro!

However, right now at 6 weeks I love how we have never had a leak or any problems and they are as easy to put on as any disposable diaper with just one step and no cover.

    Comment # 195 | Posted by Shanea | October 24, 2009, 4:56 pm
  196. Er…I’ve never used pocket diapers. I like fitteds because I can wash the covers separately and they stay nice longer- and if I have to crazy strip the fitteds it doesn’t affect the covers at all. I don’t have any OS ones either. The closest I have to OS is the Thirsties Duo Wrap covers, which I like a lot. Um…does that still count?

  198. I like the very few one size things I’ve tried (BG Organic AIOs and Thirsties Duo Covers), but we haven’t tried pockets yet. Honestly, the idea of pulling out a dirty insert at each change kinda eeks me out! I really should try smartipants one of these days.

  206. No, I thought my 15 BG’s 3.0’s would be a great investment, but after 18 months of use they are very worn and probably won’t really last to my next child. The laundry stay tabs are totally useless now. I also found that the fit was weird in some stages- the smallest and largest are okay, but between then I was either using two newborn inserts, which cut down on how many diapers I had that properly fit, or I had the insert snapped down which created a weird bulge under her pants. Since I’m planning on having lots of kids anyway I find I prefer sized diapers, and wish I’d known that before! I would invest in FB and something else with velcro for hubby to use.

  212. Short answer: yes. Long answer: I find that the bum genius work better at night than during the day, so during the day, I prefer to use the snap in liners with the gro baby system.

  235. Yeah- I like one size pocket diapers except for the newborn period. As far as one versus the other- I like snaps better than velcro, the velcro has issues too soon. I like the lining of Bum Genius the best because it never piles. As far as velcro pocket diapers go, Happy Heiny velcro system seems to work better/ last longer than Bum Genius. I am currently getting to know the fuzzi bunz one size pocket- I like it so far!

  244. We started using the BG 3.0 OS when our baby was born. They were too big in the legs at first, but now we wear them all the time! I firmly believe the reason our daughter slept through the night from the get-go is because of cloth diapers! She never felt the wetness. She is now 20 weeks and we’ve moved onto the middle snap. We haven’t tried any other brand but would love to check it out.

However, I’ve started to wonder if they’re worth it because of the stinkies I haven’t been able to get rid of. If it wouldn’t be for that I’d say these are the perfect diaper. 294. I have only used one size pocket diapers and prefolds and think that the os pockets are wonderful!! I had bum genius 3.0 but decided to sell them used and invest in the fuzzi bunz one size because the durability is better which will be important with three in cloth at once. I love how the elastic can be replaced easily and the snaps. Only drawback is it takes a lot of effort to resize the elastic when you want to use the same diaper for more than one kid. We will just have to keep them separate.

  304. Our baby isn’t here yet, either. My SIL has lots of OS dipes and her advice has helped a lot. I have a RAR OS and am very excited to try it b/c it looks like it gets small enough to be used right from the get-go, which is something I am definitely looking for in a OS.

  309. So far, yes. They work well. We didn’t start cloth diapering until our daughter was a few months old though, and even later when we used a OS pocket. I’d love more though!

  316. We have used the AIO pocket diapers and they’ve worked until now. Good thing I purchased 3 One-size, because I LOVE THEM! Unfortunately, I only have 3, and with my baby girl already growing out of her AIO (she’s a really long baby-6 mos, and already 28 in), we’re needing more. Now I wish I would have bought all One-sizes when we first started. Live and learn.

Figured it out! I hadn’t really posted it, but now I have, with this to say: The one-size fits all is just what my very long drink of water needs…at 6 months and 28 inches. WOW!

  319. My baby has not yet arrived, so I don’t know if one size diapers are my sort of diapers yet. But from all the great Smartipants reviews I don’t see how I could not like them.

  320. Yes! I only wish I had more. Seemed too good to be true when I looked into them.

  321. Yes weve used Happy Heiny’s since I started cloth diapering at 6 months and he still fits them at 23 months.
