  1. wow nice wetbags!! i made a hot pink pul wetbag and even put a black zipper on it. not as cool as some ive seen but not bad for homemade either. it does wick around the edges where ive sewn it.
    but it works well.

  2. I use Planet Wise wetbags! In fact, we have one with the same print as the hanging bag on the post. We LOVE them. I think they’ll grow with us–such a cute (and secure) way to carry wet bathing suits.

  3. I have a little drawstring wet bag I keep in the diaper bag, but my baby is only 6 weeks old and we haven’t yet been away from home long enough to use more than 1 or 2 diapers.

  4. I have a drawstring wet bag to put them it. The drawstring doesn’t work very well so I usually just roll it closed.

  7. Weeellll…I’ve only been cloth diapering for about a month, and have yet to encounter this! We mostly just do quick trips to the grocery store! I’ve been looking around for wetbags because I know I will need one! Thanks for the opportunity to win!

  8. I have a Mommy’s Touch zippered bag that has worked well for us for daily outings. It doesn’t hold more than about 4-5 BG 3.0s, so sometimes we’ve had to use plastic grocery sacks. Not the most environmentally friendly option, but in a pinch, they work great!

  14. I tried a reusable bag when my first was an infant, but it was way to small for a long day out. so now with two in cloth I just grab a plastic grocery bag. (I know it’s not horribly eco responsible but at least it gets one more use out of it before it hits the landfill)

  15. My diaperbag has a changepad that has a wet bag attached to it with a zip lock style closure. I use this to store the wet diaper and wipes.

  16. The truth is, we are only doing cloth diapers at home because I haven’t ventured into the world of wet bags. This drawing could be just the spark to get us going. It took us some time (and some coaxing of my husband) to start cloth diapering, but we love it.

  17. I use a small wetbag, or if that’s dirty, a good old fashioned plastic grocery bag.

    Comment # 17 | Posted by Amanda | May 8, 2009, 12:49 pm
  18. ugh! we are using our spare (the one that isn’t in the wash/dirty) diaper pail liner and just kind of stuffing it with the dirty ones as the other ones get clean. its not a good stystem! WE need one that zips or closes and hangs for the travelling we would like to do. I dont want to use disposables, but if I forget hte bag, heaven help us!

  20. To store diapers when we are away from home, I reuse zippered plastic bags that other baby items came in. ROBeez shoe bags work well for newborn sized diapers. Some of those types of zippered bags even have handles!

For overnight trips (our extended family lives out of town) we use the plastic bag that our son’s crib bedding came in.

These bags contain messes really well, and are easy to wipe down afterwards. The best part is that they were free!

  21. I am new to the cloth diaper world. I have been asking my mother a million questions about what she did with us kids, what worked and what didn’t. They did not have anything like a wet bag. So right now the extra canvas bag (that leaks) is what we are using like the old days.

    Comment # 21 | Posted by Jessica | May 8, 2009, 12:59 pm
  22. We don’t own a wet bag so I stick our wet/soiled cloth diapers in a plastic ziploc bag. I’ve been eyeing the Planet Wise bags since before my daughter was born, but there hasn’t been money in the budget to buy one.

    Comment # 22 | Posted by Whitney | May 8, 2009, 1:00 pm
  23. I reuse old zip lock bags and keep rinsing them and re-using for as long as they last. I had a wet bag with a draaw string that wore out and was never replaced. I also tried a wool bag, but that left a dampness in the diaper bag.

    Comment # 23 | Posted by Jamie | May 8, 2009, 1:01 pm
  24. My CD stash is all used, and came with a Bummis wet bag. It does the job, but is only big enough for a couple of diapers. Our next LO will be here in a week or so and I know we will need something bigger/better for those EBF dipes!

  29. We’ve just entered the world of cloth diapering, so we haven’t had an “away from home” moment yet! Soon, though, as we will be taking a trip across the state. It would be great to use Planet Wise wetbags for the journey!

  30. Going out is usually not gonna be messy for my 2 tots, who were recently CDed, with our most reliable ZIP-LOCK bags! When they get wet or went for the big bang, I usually toss the dirty Cdipes in a double lock gallon ZL. It’s not so stylish or glam looking but work great keeping those stinks inside the bag. I haven’t tried any wetbags yet.

  33. I store my diapers in a regular trash pail with a lid as a diaper pail. And as a bag I us a large planet liner this way it keeps my house smelling clean and when the bag is full a throigh everything in the laundry with two little ones in diapers I find this is the simplest way.

  34. I store my girl’s wet diapers in wetbags. The ones we have now are not totally leakproof, so sometimes other things get a little damp…

  46. We just stared cloth diapering as our son was born May 1st. So far I love them because the diapers are so soft against his skin. I don’t have any wet bags so right now we use small plastic bags for when we’re out. These hold the messes, but it’d be nice to have a larger one so I don’t have so many tiny bags in my diaper bag.

  48. My new little girl is due in 20 days and I still don’t think that I have everything that I need for her diapering needs! And these wet bags are SO CUTE! I am so glad that we have decided to cloth diaper! As if I didn’t have enough reasons before how great it is for baby and the environment, we get to add the cuteness factor, too!

    Comment # 48 | Posted by Kate | May 8, 2009, 1:35 pm
  49. Usually use a small Gladware sealable container with a little baking soda in it. Absorbs smells, and keeps things DRY! As a bonus it can hold the dry one too, then switch when changing!

The tubs can be hand rinsed, then steralized in the dishwasher, so no mess, no fuss!

    Comment # 49 | Posted by Jenn | May 8, 2009, 1:35 pm
  50. Storage both home and away is my collection of small wet bags that home from 3 to 6 diapers each! I stuff until full and pull out another. I’d REALLY love a large bag for home to make it so much easier!!! And my Step Daughter is due any day now with her first, and is cloth curious, so I’m putting together a package for her and if won, the small bag will go to her! :)

  51. I usually only do short trips, combined with EC, so I rarely even bring a spare diaper on the run. I just put up with a stink if it comes out (: For day trips, I just bring a plastic grocery bag, I didn’t even know that these existed.

  67. I bought a whammies wet bag and it’s great for short trips but I end up putting diapers in plastic bags if we spend the night anywhere. I’d love to give up the plastic bags finally :)

  68. I have a small wetbag for outings during the day. My in-laws are a 3 hour drive away and we end up there about one weekend a month to visit. At first I would take the cloth but I felt like it offended people- we’d stash the used ones in a trash can in our bedroom with a plastic bag and man did it stink! I ended up putting a pillow over it to contain the smell, but would stink up the whole laundry/kitchen area when I went to clean them.

It’s a hassle now for us so I’ve started using disposables when we go- which I don’t really like doing. I’ve been looking into getting a hanging wetbag/pail liner to use when we go. I think the Planet Wise would be perfect because I can also keep my daughter’s clean diapers stored in it!

  69. We use a wetbag with a zip closure. It is a beautiful flower print that coordinates with my red diaper bag. It only holds about 4-6 diapers, deepending on the kind of dipe. My baby is only 5 weeks old, so we haven’t been away from the house for long stretches yet.

    Comment # 69 | Posted by Courtenay | May 8, 2009, 2:13 pm
  70. Wow! I just got the email telling me that there was a wet-bag giveaway! I am so excited-I use my wet-bag all the time when I’m out and about. It works great when I get someone to baby-sit my beautiful son, Adison. And now i’ll be going back to work on Monday and he’ll be staying with a nice lady. I’d love to have another wet-bag so I don’t have to wash the same one over and over. Yay!

  89. We have a stash of plastic grocery bags (although Target bags seem to be the best) in the diaper bag and in our car for wet diapers when we’re away from home. We just haven’t gotten around to getting a wet bag and with two in cloth diapers who are both heavy wetters, we have to get a wet bag that’s big enough for our needs.

  90. I have 6 children and am currently building up our diaper supply so we can make the switch to cloth full time for #5 and #6. :) If I needed a wetbag at this point I would probably use the plastic case that came with our diaper bag, but it is tethered so it’s hard to clean. These new Planet Wise bags look like a great option for us to use in the future!

  91. I always use a handy wet bag. Zippered ones are better, in my opinion, since they keep everything in, that needs to be in, without letting any offensive odors out! I’ve been CD for about 1 1/2 and this system has worked out well for us so far!

  92. I have a WAHMIES wet bag in the diaper bag and a Mother’s Touch wetbag for daycare. I would LOVE to have a hanging Planet Wise wet bag to take traveling to the grandparents!

  93. I use a small wetbag from a WAHM. I got it free on Black Friday a couple years ago when I purchased diapers. My daughter loves it, as it is the “bubble ducks” pattern. We fold it up in fourths and tuck it in with the changing pad. In a pinch I’ve rolled a diaper into the cover (fitted), but luckily I usually remember the wetbag! Would love to have another one to add to the collection!

  94. My baby is due in July so I haven’t had to store wet diapers yet. I’ve got a nice stash of cloth diapers to use when she’s born and have been looking at the Planet Wise wet bags. I would love to win this to help feed my stash!!

  106. I have tried several different wet bags. I learned I didn’t like drawstring style. I bought some from different WAHMS with various degrees of satisfaction. One set of bags had very thin plastic stuff that didn’t last. My large wet bag for home now has a plastic trash bag inside because the plastic stuff ripped. The medium from the same WAHM that I would send to daycare is also shot. My toddler is at day care 5 days a week and having several wet bags makes things a lot easier for getting the diaper bag ready for the next day.

  108. I currently keep a wet bag in my active diaper bag and gallon size ziplocs in all three diaper bags. I try to keep an “extra” bag in the trunk in case of an emergency.(Hey I have 5 boys, you dont always have time to pack a diaper bag before going to the ER.)

I keep one bag by the front door and one in my room. That way I always have at least one bag handy. I keep meaning to buy another wetbag or two but get busy with the boys.

I think having a couple more wet bags will make things easier. My husband will be able to keep one statshed in his car and I would have one for each diaper bag. Now if I could convince my kids ages 3mo-15yrs to clean up behind themselves my life would be perfect.

I have a 2 year old and a 6 month old who are both in cloth while we are at home and disposible when we go out. These bags look very convenient, Im thinking about investing in a couple of them now!

  122. Hi! When I had a kidlet in cloth diapers, I made myself wet bags out of some random bright yellow waterproof fabric I bought at Joanne’s.

Now I’m making cloth diapers for my school chum who is exclusively cloth diapering. I haven’t made her a wet bag yet, but if I won some, she’d get good use out of them. :)

  124. I use the smallbummis tote bag now when I am out with my one month old which is more often than not because my older children do a lot of activities and my husband is deployed right now. It works alright but have found the drawstring part of it to be a bit of a hassle because I need to have two hands to do it and sometimes the situation does not allow for it.

We also use a WAHMIES wet bag for all of the reusable food containers during the day while baby is at Grandma’s house! With our little one (or ones - fingers crossed!), we intend to use biodegradable/flushable diaper liners for actual travel through airports, etc. We will keep the wet cloth diapers in a wet bag and wash at our destination! I’m really looking forward to the Planet Wise wetbags because of the sealed zipper - no leaks or smells!

  138. I use a bread bag to store the yucky diapers when I’m out - if I have access to a sink, I wash the diapers out first but if not, they get wrapped up in the bread bag and the stink and dampness stay very well contained. I’d love to have a real wetbag though! (I just can’t bring myself to buy one when our free bread bag works just fine!)

I have a zippered Planet Wise wet bag that I love (the snapping loop handle is ingenious), and could really use another to alternate with the wash cycle -one to use and one in the wash. ;) I also have some small drawstring wet bags that were badly designed: the drawstring is elastic cording and it’s a pain to pull closed!

It looks like a military green messenger bag, it’s called “Diaper Dude”, and it has a zipper in the bottom that opens up to a built-in wet bag! However, our little guy is 2.5 months old and we’re just getting started out with cloth diapers. I’ve only got 2 AIOs and a diaper cover and some prefolds! I must escape the clutches of disposables!

  169. I used to just use plastic bags while we were out. However, my daughters recently started daycare and they have accepted the cloth! Instead of having them put each diaper into a plastic bag and then into a wetbag (sort of negated the “green” part of us using cloth), I had a friend make me a bunch of small zipper wet bags from pul and then got some small whamies too. Each diaper is put in the small wetbag and then added to the large purple dot Planet-wise bag. I now have a huge appreciation for wetbags and plan to continue to use them for wet bathing suits, clothing, and anything else I can think of.

When we started buying diapers we were getting what we absolutely needed to get by and never even got a wet bag. We’ve been using plastic grocery bags or ziplock bags, which I hate. So I would LOVE to win the wet bags!!!!

  180. I save and use the plastic bags from when you buy fruits and veggies. So after I buy potatoes, they store poo diadies. Reduce reuse recycle!

  183. For a short trip I use a small wet bag, or an old grocery bag. For a longer vacation I take my Happy Tushies diaper pail liner.

  184. Confession: I store my dirty diapers in grocery store bags when we’re on the road and transfer them to my diaper pail when I get home!

  185. I have a small drawstring wet bag that I carry in a very large diaper bag. When I get home I dump the dirty ones in the pail along with the bag and add a new wetbag to my diaper bag for the next day.

  186. I have yet to take the cloth diapers on an extended trip from home. I don’t have a wet bag so I am un-eco-friendly and use old grocery bags! I could really use these bags! Thanks for the chance to win!!

  187. I found these bio bags which are biodegradable plastic sacs that we use in our green waste. ANd since DD is in a home day care, I send a pack of these once every two months, the dirty diapers come back every day in the biobags, and i wash the diapers and then reuse the bags in my green waste trashcan. i keep thinking i should buy something truly reusable, but she is 17 months now and i think, she will be potty trained soon, do i want to buy yet another diapering accessory? now that we are in the US for a while, I must have something, cause I dont know what her new daycare will do or want and since I brought all of her diaper supplies with us, I dont want to subscribe to a service that uses their own.

  189. Oooo, I was just saying I need another wet bag for win my main one is in the wash! So I’ve been shopping around…

When we’re on a weekend trip or something I just bring our usual bag. When we go out to eat or go somewhere for just a couple hours, I use this little mini waterproof plastic detachable pouch that came with the diaper bag. (I’m pretty sure for that purpose?)

    Thanks for the giveaway!

  192. I actually found a day care provider who will do cloth diapers, a Planet Wise wet bag would be perfect for theirs and my use.

  193. I am expecting my first baby in 6 weeks and we are planning to cloth diaper, but haven’t come up with a method for storing soiled diapers while on the road outside of plastic bags. Sounds like this is a great product; it would be more environmentally friendly and easy to use.

  194. i dont yet! we havent been able to get a bag that we liked to bring dirty dipes home so we have actually used (omg, i hate it) disposables when we go out. you can imagine that we dont go out often. but my baby is only 7 weeks old, so there hasnt been much of a time for opportunity, either.

i imagine soon we will be using trash bags because i am out of hospital sposies and im not going to buy anymore!

  195. When we are away from home we have a homemade wetbag that my mom made me. It holds the diapers well, but it doesn’t close well. It has ribbons to close it and it is hard to open and close, so it is usually open and folded over. I would love to get these to replace what we have.

  196. getting these things would be so nice. I have one still in diapers full time. My newest one is due in Augest and I have one that wets once in a while. having a place to put the wet things so that the diaper bag and car do not smell would be a life saver.

  212. I actually use those little green (sort of biodegradable) bags to contain our cd’s when we’re out and about. They work well and fit very nicely in to our regular diaper bag but I’d rather use a wetbag.
I also have 2 large wetbags that I use instead of a pail. I think they are great, especially when they go right into the wash with the diapers. :)

  225. We use wet bags when away from home and have to send one every day to daycare. Sometimes I forget and dirty diapers have to be sent home in plastic bags (eek). I love the PlanetWise wet bags because they zip and therefore don’t leak. I have turned on my sister and two friends to cloth diapers and had them buy these wet bags too!

  229. It’s gross, but in desperate times….I just roll up the diaper & shove it into an empty compartment in my diaper bag. After reading all these posts, it might be time for a Planet Wise Wet bag!!!

  230. I use old shopping bags if we have them, if not I usually wrap them up as best I can and put them in a separate pouch in our diaper bag… than get home as fast as I can to wash everything before people start to notice the smell. We are fairly new to cloth diapers so I don’t know all of the tricks yet… as a matter of fact I didn’t even know these bags existed! Live and learn!

  232. For the beginners: I have been cloth diapering for a year and nothing fancy here, we use a 5 gallon bucket with a lid, I put in a regular pillowcase and the outside folds all the way to the floor, Im still breastfeeding so no bad smells yet but I have diaper dust ive been using for fun just in case!! I just pull the pillow case out dump it in the wash and throw it in the load with the diapers, I have a second that I rotate out while washing. Its cheap and practical.

  240. I just bought my first planet wise medium bag and LOVE it. Up until this purchase, I was using a drawstring wet bag that didn’t do such a great job at keeping the smell in, especially if I was out all day long and collected a number of diapers in it. Yuck. I can’t wait to grow my planet wise stash!

  241. When my 1st grandchild arrives and is visiting at my house, we’ll probably use gallon, zip lock bags for the soiled diapers until we can get a wetbag. I’ve also thought of reusing a big sized plastic container (I would only use it for soiled diapers and keep it in the trunk) sprinkled with baking soda or borax. Thanks for the opportunity to win a wet bag!
