I don’t know about you, but potty training wasn’t my favorite rite of passage when my babies decided they were too old to wear a cloth diaper. Of course, since then I’ve been introduced to the Potty Training in One Day system and the Potty Patty and Potty Scotty Potty Training Dolls. Where were these two dolls when I was passing on this important life lesson to mine?
Anatomically correct, both the Potty Scotty Potty Training Doll and the Potty Patty Potty Training Doll will learn to pee in the potty, sitting or standing up, right alongside your daughter or son. The 16″ dolls can “hold” water until it is time to “pee” – just like you’re trying to teach your potty ready child to do. Parents can use Potty Scotty or Potty Patty to demonstrate actions for their daughter or son to mimic.
The winner of this week’s giveaway will get ONE (1) Potty Patty or (1) Potty Scotty Deluxe Training Kit! Each Potty Scotty or Potty Patty Potty Training Doll Deluxe Kit includes:
PLEASE NOTE: Potty Scotty conforms to the safety requirements of ASTM F963. If you’re child is not yet ready to potty train, consider a cloth diaper system until they are!
The rules on this giveaway are below – you have up to three chances to enter!
AND THE QUESTION IS…
How many kids have you potty trained? What system did you USE or think you’ll use?

I have not potty trained any kids yet, but I am always looking at different systems to try–the Potty Scotty system seems like a really fun one!
No potty training yet, but watching my sister-in-law struggle with her daughter, so one day and done sounds dreamy.
I’m just starting to research potty training for our first now. We aren’t certain about systems, but are definitely intrigued by the Potty Scotty system. I love my fluff, but can’t wait for this little guy to be out of nappies.
I am trying to potty train my boy right now. I cant say I have a method. I just bought him underware and I am offering a reward if he goes in the potty.
I have potty trained two girls also. (I think boys are harder)
Anything that helps this process is a pluse!
I just shared this link on my facebook!
I’ve potty trained 4 children. I just stuck them in undies and took them to the bathroom often.
I am about to train my two year old. So far, no luck. We’re going the no pressure route. She runs around naked a lot.
Not training yet but the one day system would be great!
I’ve potty trained 2. I don’t really have a method, just wait until they start having a few dry diapers and then give them rewards for using the potty and staying dry.
My wife has done all the work with two of our children. Now that she is attempting to potty train our last, I figued if I get her new info that means I helped to right?
I helped potty train my kids by cleaning the carpets afterwards.
I’m in the process of potty training one VERY stubborn 3.5 year old. It’s not going so well. He had shown interest on his own, but since the birth of his sister, he’s regressed! I’m at a loss of what to do now!
2 so far and working with my 16 month old right now. I start by taking them to the potty every hour (I usually set a timer or I forget) or so until they have some control and can tell me when they need to go.
None yet buy my baby is coming up on it! We’ve done part time elimination communication for awhile now.
I’ve been training my 2 1/2 year old for about 6 months. He is not fully trained and I would love to use this system to start over.
I haven’t had to potty train my own yet, but I’m always on the lookout for ideas to give my parents/kids from work!
I have potty trained 1 child and I have 2 to go. My method was to just let her where underwear and take her to the toilet every 20 minutes until she got the hang of it.
I have trained 1 child and will be training another soon. I made a song about potty time and sang it to him evey 25 mins and he thought it was a hoot!
I haven’t potty trained any kids yet, and I’m dreading it already!
I haven’t potty trained any little ones yet. Our little girl is only 7 months old. But I’m sure potty training will sneak up on me sooner than I think :)
I havent had to potty train my daughter yet but I think it will be here before I know it. My method will probably be the naked time route…we’ll see when we get to that point!
Praise the Lord! LOL We just started PTing our soon-to-be-3-year-old this week! I don’t know if what we’re doing is an actual “system”…we just put him in training pants and have him sit on the little potty every so often, and when he has to go. No success with poo yet, though (he refuses).

I just finished daytime training with my son about a month before he turned three. We talked a lot about it and one day, I asked him when he woke up if he wanted to wear underwear or a diaper and he chose underwear. That was about all it took. Lots of friends told me not to even try to train until boys are three so I was just really patient and dropped lots of hints about big boys staying dry and wearing underwear until he showed interest. He’s the first boy (two older sisters) and he really didn’t like being wet or messy at all. When he had accidents, he’d say “Oh Man! My underwear wet!” It was hilarious!
i have only one child and i have been potty training her since she was 4.5 months old. She is now 7 months old and 90% of all poops go in her potty and lots pee too. I think that by 9 months she just need diapers at night. I read about infant potty training online.
We’ve been working with our 2 yr old daughter for months. We’ve tried naked time, a reward chart, pullups, asking her to go when I go, etc. We regressed when our son was born 3 months ago and has me dreading when it’s his turn and we aren’t even finished with her! I’m going to read more on this because a 1 day system sounds too good to be true!
Facebook-ed it!
I’ve potty trained one child, my daughter.
We started by talking to her about poopy and pee. We let her come into the bathroom when we had to go. We did this 6 mo before we began “training”.
Then i let her pick out a few packs of big girl undies. She started to wear them during the day. A got stickers on a chart every time she used the potty. We we had a miss. We would clean up together. And I would gently remind her to use the potty. Once her chart was full we did big girl undies at night. We also got a new pack of undies for this mile stone.
A few misses later and she was a pro.
Now my son he’s another story. I don’t know what to do with him. Maybe this system your awarding will help.
I have potty trained one. My daughter at 2 1/2. She was so easy. One day I just told her no more diapers and to the potty she went. I introduced her to her little potty seat a couple of months earlier to get her acquainted to it. I do think however, that it will be a different story with her little brother lol.
I have potty trained one girl and one boy, and the girl was far easier. With both, we brought out the potty at about 12 months and let them try and explore it. Our daughter was interested much earlier, and tried it here and there at her whim. When she was not wetting over night, I introduced the panties and put her on a potty schedule with a timer, beginning at 15 minutes, and increasing the time daily. We stayed home for about a week, and finally it stuck; she was about 20 months. Our son was more indifferent and we tried here and there for about a year and buckled down at about 30 months. He finally decided to get on board and was pee-pee trained that day, at about 32 months. He did have a fear of pooping on the potty that lasted about another month. Once that was successfully accomplished, he was good to go!
I did try pull-ups initially with each, but they both saw them as diapers and as license to go in their pants. I won’t do that next time!
I have potty trained two kids so far. I just let them wear dresses around the house for a week and they didn’t like the wetness running down their legs. My third I have yet to potty train.
I’m currently training my 16 month old boy. We have him on a schedule of sitting on the potty at regular times during the day to get him used to the idea that this is normal and natural part of his day. I’m looking into getting some training pants soon so that we can start the real discipline of training!
I have potty trained 2 children so far, & will have at least 1 more to potty train unless we are blessed w/even more children. For our 1st DD, she trained overnight literally. She got some undies from her great-grandma (apparently they were better than the ones we bought her! LOL) & she had her 1st accident 6 months later. The key was waiting for HER to be ready, not to force her to conform to OUR timetable, even though she was 3 years & 2 mos when she finally potty learned. W/#2 she potty learned when she was 2. She got big girl undies on her 2nd bday because SHE wanted them to be like her big sister. She had far more accidents than #1 did because she was a lot younger when she started potty learning, but we also let her start according to when SHE was ready. We will do the same w/#3 :0).
I have potty-trained 2 with one more to go. I try to take them to the bathroom every hr when they started staying dry during their naps. My DS took longer until he was 3yo. What worked for him was no training pants & only underwear. Got potty-trained in 2 days but before that I think it was over 9mos! Training pants good for nighttime & not daytime wear. It was like diaper to him!

I haven’t potty trained any kids, yet, since my little one is only 5 months old. When the time comes, though- and by this I mean that I start seeing signs of readiness on her part- I will probably switch from cloth diapers to cloth trainers, a “reward system” (sticker chart, treat after x number of stickers, that sort of thing), and maybe even look at some books/dvds on potty-training!
I have not Potty trained any yet. My daughter is 26 months and I will start with her VERY soon. We’ve tried the 3 day PT method, but it didn’t work. She had a LOT of accidents All 3 days. We just won the Potty Tots Potty Training Program. We will try it soon, but She doesn’t quite seem old enough for it yet. We’re not really going to use a system I don’t think. It’ll be a hit or miss thing with us and we’ll gradually work into it! Hopefully with less and less accidents! I’d love to win Patty Though!
We’re working on potty training right now with our 3 yr old son. He is pretty much training himself! Cloth diapering really helps him feel the wetness before he gets to the point where his bladder has emptied. He takes initiative and heads for the toilet on his own. :) The plan is to soon move out of diapers and into cloth training pants and just do lots of reminding—the system I have used with babies #1-4 before him and the system I will use with baby # 6 when she is ready to train.
I linked this up on my FB page!
I haven’t potty trained a child yet, but this looks like a neat system to use when it’s time! This system could ease the stress and difficulty of potty training!
I have not potty trained any. And I watched my mother potty train two. NOT a fun thing to do, but I know that my parents highly recommend this book. I am glad that CDed kids tend to potty train earlier. I really don’t want to do diapers until age 3+!
I have not begun to officially PT my 15 month old, but I did buy a little potty this week. I am not generally a “parent by a book” type of gal. Usually I just wing it, but if I had a book (that I didn’t have to buy) I would definitely use it. I did PT a bunch of daycare kids when I taught 2 year olds…it really wasn’t that bad, but each child is different!
I have not begun to potty train my little ones but am keeping my ears and eyes open for helpful tips. I have heard horror stories from others and would really like to avoid that.
I have blogged about the giveaway.

I haven’t potty trained anyone yet. My son is 18 months old and we’re just starting to introduce the potty and let him sit on it. I don’t have any set plans on how to go about it at this point but the Potty Scotty doll looks like a good idea. We currently use cloth diapers so I know he knows when he’s wet.
Our son is 16 months old and I’m just starting to think about when and how we’re going to train him – I’d love to give Potty Scotty a try!
Just one so far. We started early around 22 months just showing his his little potty, etc. Around 26 months we started to use the bribe method with minerature marshmellows. We had a set back when little sister was born but by 28 months we were in full time underwear! We haven’t solved the nighttime potty training yet though.
i have not gone through potty training yet. but i like the idea of this for when i start with my son
I have potty trained 6 kids! 4 of my own, and a neice and a nephew! I am currently working on my last child! Boy is he stubborn! I could use the help, I hope I win!
Here is my link to my blog! Help me potty train my boy!!! http://all5callmemommy.livejournal.com/1149.html
I haven’t potty trained yet and am not looking forward to it! This set looks like it will really help.
I haven’t potty trained my son yet but I have been looking at different methods that I might try and the Potty Scotty sounds like a great idea.
I’ve potty trained one child and will be on my second within a year. I also will be providing care for 3 other toddlers so I’ll have a lot of messy potty training on my hands! I used reward charts with stickers and at the end, a reward such as a toy car, a book, extra park time, later bedtime, etc. It worked like magic!
I have a little boy…I have been cloth diapering since he was about 1.5 months old. I use softbums and love them, but I will be needing to potty train before I know it so this is a great opportunity to load up on this system! I have a friend who did potty scotty with her first baby and using it now for her second and loves it….crossing fingers!
I posted a link on my blog, and a note on FaceBook…you can find the facebook link on my blog also!
I potty trained my son and am about to train my daughter. I introduced the potty early with both kids and used it for fun (Whenever they wanted to sit on it, before a bath, etc.) My son didn’t start making it to the potty until we took off his pants and underwear, during the day. Something about the pee pee coming out where he could see it helped him to run to the bathroom. We used pullups at night, but he would use them like a diaper. They were just a place to go to the bathroom. I’ll be interested to see how potty training is for my daughter. Unfortunately she keeps standing in front of the toilet like her 4 year old brother!
I’ve potty trained 5 kids. the only system we used was sticker charts, lots of praise and encouragement! Also, we learned not to push anything until they are ready. It’s a lost cause with total frustration, to start before they are ready. All it’s done for us is cause them to train much later then they normally would have.
I’ve been interested in this system for a while now!
I’ve potty trained one so far. She was cloth diapered, and was pretty vocal from infancy about not liking wet diapers. When I knew she was about to pee (right at waking up or just after eating) I started sitting her on the potty briefly – we were often successful with catches. Not really EC, but it worked for us. Shortly after she was able to walk, she would go and sit on her own little potty to pee at home (she needed lots of help with the diaper to get it off.) She pretty much potty learned for pee on her own, but we really had to encourage & praise her for poops to sit on the potty (she preferred to hide in a quiet spot.) We read “Everyone Poops” pretty often and some other books until she got it. I’m hoping my second child will be just as easy when she’s ready!
I’m a home daycare mom, I’ve probably training 40 kids.
I have not potty trained any children yet. I haven’t even thought about how I am going to go about it. I figured I would just put my daughter on the potty and encourage her to go. I am hoping the cloth diapers let her know when she wets etc. I didn’t even know products like this existed!
