I am still deciding what to buy and what would work best. I would like to try prefolds & covers (1 cover, 2-3 prefolds), BG one size, FB one size, Gro Baby one size, and an all-in-one. Since I am still researching, I am unsure of other brands. In all I would be happy with 8-10 diaper changes, soap, and a wet bag for about $175. I have twins, so an option of getting two sets at a discount would be even better!

Hmmmm…I get tired of the same thing all the time and like variety just to mix things up a bit. :) So a little of everything would be in my diaper stash: a few dozen prefolds and 6 or 8 covers, 12 to 18 all-in- ones and pockets. I would expect to pay more for buying a la carte as opposed to buying a package, so if I could keep it under $500 I’d feel like I’d done well.

It’s funny you ask…I just dove into the world of cloth diapering headfirst. I literally just placed my order for a package I put together to try out about 30 minutes ago. I ordered one each of Gro Baby, Bum Genius one-size, Fuzzi Bunz pocket, Swaddlebees Econappi, Gro Baby, Blueberry stuffable AIO, Blueberry Minki one-size bamboo velour, Pocket Change, Sposoeasy AIO and Dream-eze AIO. I paid $147 and some change. Since I am just now trying them out, this is my first ideal package. I would love to try some fitted diapers next!

I’m honestly not sure if the brands of diapers that I’d pick. I’ve tried a few, and I’d be really happy with any of those brands.
But as for types-
12 infant prefolds
2 infant/small covers
12 small pocket diapers
16 medium pocket diapers
1 medium wetbag
1 pail liner
diaper sprayer

I’m guessing that it would probably be close to, if not over, $400.

My perfect diaper package would be 14 one size bumgenious AIO’s, a small wet/dry bag, diaper pail, pail liner, diaper detergent, and a diaper sprayer.

I would probably expect to pay around $350.

My ideal diaper package would include newborn and OS fitteds (24 nb and 24 OS) along with about 4 covers in all sizes. With those covers there would have to be at least 2 wool covers in each size for nighttime. I would also include 2 GroBabies with 8 snap-in inserts. A small, medium, and large wetbag would work, but preferably at least one wonderbag. Price…ideally $200, realistically $350! Now who is going to put together such a package???

My ideal “Dream” package would be:
12 organinc snap OS AIO bumGenius
12 hemp flats
12 Thirsties duo covers (6 in sz1, 6 in sz2)
3 packages of bumGenius Bamboo Wipes
1 pack of Imse Vimse Liners
Pail freshener
PlanetWise Hanging Wet/Dry bag
PlanetWise Pail Liner
PlanetWise Wet/Dry bag
Diaper Sprayer
Detergent

This would cost me about $600 (that would be with a great discount!) that we would do a layaway type thing so it would be done over a few months. I wouldn’t have to buy anything else except for the liners, pail freshener and detergent when I ran out! This is what I would have LOVED to start out with! :)
