My daughter, Bunny, got a rash.  Not just a little, lets-use-prefolds-and-wool rash, but a rash so bad that it required some naked time and even a thick dose of rash cream.  It was awful. It was all my fault, too. My precious little daughter normally avoids rashes due to her wonderful cloth diapers, but she’s also the type of baby who doesn’t really mind walking around in her own poop or pee, so she doesn’t exactly let me know if she needs a diaper change.  That, coupled with the … [Read more...]

Caught in a Clothesline

The GroVia All in One cloth diaper and cloth diaper cover dry quickly.

It may sound like a strange idea, but there are actually benefits for your child to go coverless. I have heard many a mama ask questions about how to do it and thought I could help answer some of those questions for you. How do you go … [Read more...]

Cupcake Woolies & Other Scrumptious Stuff

Jennifer Ackerman-Haywood, in her Sunday, January 10, 2010 "Running with Needles" post, Woolies help moms go green with cloth diaper covers, featured Sarah Eddy, owner of Chickadee and Me. Chickadee & Me an environmentally-minded endeavor, offering a kind of "upcycled diaper cover" style called "woolies". Made from the softest recycled wool sweaters she could find, these "woolies" are designed to pull over cloth diapers, but Eddy also suggests the woolies can be worn over disposable … [Read more...]
