Cloth Diapering, Is it a Gateway to a Greener Lifestyle?

CDB Making Diapers Last 1

What started as a simple way to save money actually transformed my life. I love the color green, but never considered myself to be green or crunchy. I jumped into cloth diapering to save some green not be green. Something mysterious happened to me and my conversion began in November of 2009 when I became a cloth diaper junky. From the moment my sweet little boy had his bum covered in an oh-so-colorful cloth diaper I was addicted.  What started as a simple way to save money actually transformed … [Read more...]

These ARE your grandma’s cloth diapers!

Perhaps the most common expression I’ve heard since beginning my cloth diaper journey over a year ago is, “They’re not your grandma’s diapers!”  This statement is so true! Cloth diapers have come a long way from the gauze flats and cotton prefolds my mother and grandmother used. I often found myself wondering why on earth would anyone choose to use flats or prefolds other than out of necessity? With the modern cloth diapers available today, I could not figure out why people wanted to … [Read more...]

One Year Old And The Nightmare Begins

Can this adorable one year old wiggle out of her cloth diapers? Yes she can.

I had heard nightmares and read stories (and had a good laugh at the article, A Case For Snaps on Cloth Diapers, by Becca) about babies stripping their diapers off. Thankful for Cloth Diapers

Baby_in_turkey_costume

Today I'm off to see family on the in-laws' farm in West Virginia, as we have done for the past decade...even longer. Ours is pretty much a tradition Thanksgiving weekend: early morning with the parade on television, followed by the big meal around noon, with sporadic picking at leftovers throughout the evening and next day. I do my best not to take such moments for granted. You must know the song, too - once again we're a year older, and who knows how many more of these special occasions we … [Read more...]

Buy Cloth Diapers: The Gift That Keeps on Giving

Give the gift of cloth diapers from Diaper Junction this holiday season.

Can you believe that Christmas is almost here? Black Friday ads everywhere announce it proudly and Christmas trees were up in chain stores before the Halloween costumes had even been removed. Soon, the throngs of happy—or maybe just stressed—people will fill the stores and jam-pack the lines with baskets full of gifts for everyone they know. They will buy things they don’t need (and some that they do) and most of them won’t give a second thought to the environment or to their … [Read more...]
