At Bum Essentials, the motto is: “Saving the Planet 1 Diaper at a time.” They’re doing their part with an innovative AI2 (All in Two) cloth diaper called the Bumbino. With the Bumbino, you have all the amazing features of a fleece-lined pocket diaper and the reusability of a diaper cover in one, easy to use, affordable system.
The System
The Bum Essentials Bumbino One Size Diaper system consists of a waterproof outer cover, fully-lined with microfleece and two absorbent, snap-in Bum Essentials Bum Pads.
When your baby wets or poops, simply remove the absorbent pads, and snap in fresh ones using the same shell. The shell only needs to be changed when soiled rather than at every diaper change.
Bum Essentials Bum Pad
Each diaper comes with two absorbent “terry towel” Bum Essentials Bum Pads — one small, one large – made of organic bamboo cotton/polyester.
The polyester is added to give this pad more flexibility and trimness while keeping it extremely absorbent. The bamboo is added because of it’s ability to absorb, it’s softness, and it’s antibacterial properties.
The Bum Pads not only snap to the diaper, but snap to each other so you can choose your level of absorbency: the small one for infants, the larger one for toddlers, and both together for heavy wetters.
When buying extra Bum Essentials Bum Pads you have a choice between the “Terry Towel” pads that the diaper comes with or the “Classic” bum pads which are 100% natural. The “Classic” is still made of organic cotton and bamboo, but contains no polyester.
The Shell
This is not your ordinary cloth diaper cover. The shell is lined with microfleece so nothing but the softest materials comes in contact with your baby’s skin.
The Bum Essentials Bumbino is available in (4) four basic shades; keeping it bright, fun and simple.
Great care was taken in regards to the fit of this diaper. Not only does it have Aplix (Velcro) closures which are a fast and easy way to secure a good fit, but there is also an elastic gathering at the front of this diaper making it snug and gap-free at the waist.
With three sets of rise snaps — two snaps at each size setting — this diaper can fit babies of approximately 8 to 34 pounds.
A pair of snaps to secure each Bum Pad are discreetly placed only at the front of the diaper allowing the back of the bum pads to rest freely.
Easy to use, soft, and absorbent, the Bum Essentials Bumbino One Size Diaper is a diaper that any cloth diapering parent would enjoy having in their stash.
